Try Bowls
Following on from the successful Community Fun Bowling Day six potential new members came along on Friday to try their hand at lawn bowls.
Their bowling experience ranged from having done it ‘many years ago’ to complete novices.
They were introduced to the etiquette and the basics of bowling – mat placement, rolling the jack, bias of the bowls and how to signal to your team mate where to place the jack and communicate the score.
The focus was getting the new recruits bowling as quickly as possible and see how much fun it can be.
