Resilience Hub

A Resilience Hub can be described as a designated local facility augmented to support residents and coordinate emergency resources, assistance, and communications before, during, or after severe weather, power cuts, or other crisis events.

Upper Donside Bowling Club has just started the process of investigating the feasabilty of installing solar panels and battery storage.

Should we be successful in this project one possible option for us is to become a Resilience Hub for the local community.

As a Resilience Hub the local community could, for example, have access to:

  • Shelter & heat
  • Hot water
  • Hot drinks
  • Charging facilities
  • Internet
  • Assistance

The project is in its early days with a long way to go.  If we do decide to become a Resilience Hub, the local community will be surveyed on what they may expect from such a facility.

This is a draft copy of a community survey about having a Resilience Hub: Community Survey – Resilience Hub v.2
